![]() ![]() ![]() I followed Alex and Aiden to the Underworld where they saw Caleb again, I got some Alex and Aiden moments worth fangirling over, and of course some hilarious Apollo appearances! ![]() In Deity, the couple finally succumbed to their feelings for each other but in true JLA fashion, their taste of HEA didn’t last long.Īlex does break the connection and the rest of the book is the journey to stop Seth and Lucian. He loves her so much and it was just so sad to read about Alex’s actions towards Aiden when she was brainwashed by Seth. ![]() It was heart-breaking to see Aiden this heartbroken about Alex’s “condition”… He hated seeing her like this and not herself. What really sold this book was JLA’s writing. That beginning really pulled me into the story. It was freaking creepy how well JLA wrote the first few chapters. It made me want to scream because Alex was mega brainwashed. But yet again, Seth can’t really help that he is controlling Alex, he’s just taking advantage of that. Because it is in the first person POV (Alex) readers really got to see into Alex’s mind when she is under Seth’s control. It starts a few months after Alex’s Awakening with her still consumed by Seth’s thoughts and opinions. This book sets everything up for the conclusion of the the Covenant series. ![]()
